Do not miss! Visited on April 16, 2021. In a not very nice area of Phuket Town you can find this incredible pearl of a restaurant. A mansion from 1903 in Portuguese colonial style in a huge park, surrounded by incredibly beautiful old trees, has been perfectly renovated with enormous effort. The building alone is worth a visit! Inside you will find a wonderfully elegant, traditionally furnished restaurant with original southern Thai cuisine of the highest quality. There are delicious dishes that are rarely offered otherwise. There is also an extensive wine list. The service is extremely friendly and professional. Here you can experience what Thai luxury actually has to offer. Of course, this has its price, but it's worth every baht. A visit there will be unforgettable! ~ Georg M

Das altehrwürdige Haus, das früher dss Heim des Gouverneurs von Phuket war, strahlt Ehrfurcht abet auch Gemütlichkeit aus... Bonito ambiente, comida rica y un servicio inmejorable, los camareros son muy atentos. Pero para los que no coman picante, hay pocas opciones en los menús. El precio es un poco caro en comparación con los demás restaurantes en Tailandia, pero considerando que es un restaurante de Michelin guide, el precio es bastante razonable. We had a lovely meal here with the whole family while on our way back from the elephant sanctuary we visited. We had a nice relaxed paced dining experience and the staff catered excellent to my young niece and nephew. Most of our party couldn't do spicy food and the staff helped navigate the options very well, anything too spicy at the table was eaten by those who liked spice etc and we managed fine. Excellent food etc, the only thing I can ding them for is price and 'entry / exit though the giftshop' which I understand for Westerners doing cooking classes and others it might be a draw but it wasn't for me and was a little 'tacky' since it was the main entry and exit. But that is it, and I'm being picky since everything else was well above excellent. ~ Ben H

We spend a whole day with chef Molly for a private cooking class at the beautiful mansion of Blue Elephant in Phuket Town and it couldn’t have been any better. From the warm welcome with cold tea, to the local market visit and the 9 dishes we created together: everything was perfectly organised and planned out. Next to learning how to make all the dishes from scratch, we took home a lot of tips and tricks form the experienced chef. And equally important: we had an amazing time doing so! Chef Molly was the perfect teacher and guide during our ‘school day’ at the Blue Elephant. Also a big shout out to the rest of the Blue Elephant team, for the prepping and supporting during our class and for the impeccable service during lunch and dinner. Thank you very much! 🙏 ~ Tim v

We had the best experience at Blue Elephant — no wonder it’s Michelin-rated! Every dish we tried was amazing, but the chocolate mousse truly stole the show. The chicken curry coconut soup (I forget the exact name!) was rich and comforting, and the duck confit was beautifully done. What really made our visit extra special was our server, Erwin. He was so warm and friendly — honestly the BEST service ever! He even surprised us with complimentary tea and dessert when he found out we were on our mini honeymoon. Such a thoughtful gesture that made our night. He also shared that he’s the only Filipino staff member there — and he’s clearly a gem. We had the pleasure of celebrating my mom’s birthday at Blue Elephant and it was truly a memorable experience thanks to the amazing team; Palm, Yok and especially Erwin. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcomed, even though it was our first time visiting. The service was warm, attentive and genuine. They frequently checked in on us and even surprised us with some complimentary snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch. A big thank you to the team for making my mom’s birthday so special. She was absolutely delighted and we all left with happy hearts. The food was absolutely delicious and the overall atmosphere was perfect for a celebration. We will definitely be back again. We had a wonderful dining experience at Blue Elephant Phuket. The food was excellent, but what truly stood out was the service. The manager, Erwin, made sure we felt comfortable throughout the meal. He took the time to explain each dish in detail, regularly checked in without being intrusive, and made the entire experience feel very personal. His warm and attentive approach really elevated our visit. Ben and the rest of the staff were equally courteous and efficient. We were also pleasantly surprised with a thoughtful honeymoon gesture at the end, which made the evening even more special. Blue Elephant is in a category of its own. Dining inside the stunning Phra Pitak Chinpracha Mansion sets the tone immediately, and the food rises to match every bit of it. We ordered both set menus and worked our way through some of the most thoughtfully composed Thai meals we've had. The Peranakan menu was a highlight. The signature King Mackerel curry was rich and aromatic, layered with coconut and spice in a way that felt both ancient and refined. Every course had that same quality, dishes that clearly carry real history behind them. The setting, the food, and the care of host Erwin and supervisor PiPu all came together to make this an evening we will not forget. Blue Elephant is not only great, it’s one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, and it’s rare for me to say this. The service from Jane, Jackie, William, Palm and Neecham was excellent. Not only are they friendly, they recommended us dishes that far exceeded our expectations. They were very attentive and definitely made our experience memorable. Every food item was great, and was very well prepared. I highly recommend the pad Thai, the masaman curry, ribeye satay, chicken dumplings, mango sticky rice and coconut flan. The atmosphere is also great, from the decor, food presentation and even the guitar for the birthday celebration. I highly recommend anyone coming to Phuket and looking for a great Thai fine dining experience and I hope we see the restaurant one day abroad including in London. ~ Ahmed A

Wow. What can I really say about this culinary experience! I could only post pictures of the amuse-bouche, starter spring rolls, and corn cake with pomelo salad because I RAVAGED the main course without even stopping for a heartbeat to take a picture. The food was delightful to the point of extreme dining pleasure; the aroma of the freshly curated spices was an olfactory treat. With exemplary service and gorgeously traditional interiors, the restaurant doesn’t fail to highlight the importance of aesthetic to the point of plate dressing to tablecloth folding. A wonderful dining experience. No rush here. You are made to enjoy the dining experience with well paced service. Beautiful decor. You are dining in a mansion that is located in the middle of the city. We came for lunch. I ordered the green curry with fish, fish cakes and coconut flan. My husband got fried rice with crab, prawns, and noodles. Food was great! My husband loved the homemade vanilla ice cream for dessert. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly. They also have a chefs menu and traditional Thai menu but a minimum of 2 people have to take part to order from that menu. My husband and I preferred the a la carte menu. We went at 1:30 pm on a Thursday and no reservation was needed. We were dressed very casual and it was not a problem. My husband and I both had on tshirts. Un luogo incantevole con uno stile retrò sembra di essere in un vecchio film! Questa casetta coloniale in mezzo ai grattacieli sembra quasi un tempio della cucina. Si può assaggiare sia piatti tipici che rivisitazioni attuali della cucina thai. Sono anche scuola di cucina e le loro salsa acquistabili nello shop sono esportate in tutto il mondo. ~ Francesco N
